From an Experiment to the Industry Standard
Teleprompter.Video started in 2015 on the floor of the PLASA Focus show in Leeds. The plan was simple: launch a new 12-inch audio wedge. To save our voices from shouting over the trade
show din, we placed a video screen next to the wedge with scrolling text, silently explaining the audio product’s features.
As the crowds walked by, something unexpected happened. They weren’t just reading the text about the audio wedge. They were staring at the screen, visualizing it on their own stages.
Customer after customer stopped, pointed at the screen, and asked the same question:
“Can you make this into a Teleprompter?”
We realised the “marketing sign” was actually the product everyone was waiting for. We listened to the industry, shifted our focus, and Teleprompter.video was born.
Since that day in Leeds, the brand has gone from strength to strength. What began as a trade show experiment has evolved into the global standard for comfort monitors.
